Our rejuvenating stay at Essque Zalu on the north coast of Zanzibar was the idyllic tropical end to our weeks in Tanzania
Places we've been:
- Dar es Salaam
- Ngorongoro Conservation Area
- The Serengeti
Trips we've taken:
Stone Town, Zanzibar
From the Central Serengeti, we flew on two small planes; the first to Arusha where we briefly met up with ADS staff and watched these ladies in the airport parking lot and from there we flew about an hour southeast until we crossed the most translucent waters, so clear we could see the sandbars from the sky. From Migration Tented Camp in the northern Serengeti, we followed along the Upper Grumeti River to find lots of lions, elephants, oribi, and more!

We saw topi, eland, water buck, lilac-breasted rollers, agama lizards and so many more (new to us) species in the Lobo Valley of the North Serengeti.
Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Tanzania
Lions and hippos and zebras, oh my! Adventures in the Ngorongoro Conservation area, Tanzania.
Arriving at Ngorongoro Crater and the Lodge, Tanzania

If you, like us, are curious about this pronunciation, kindof swallow the n sound and…
